5 credit cards with recently increased signup bonuses

Signing up for credit cards can be one of the most lucrative ways to earn lots of miles and points, and credit card “churns” are one of the staples of my earning philosophy.  Now, having said that, I always urge people just starting out to only go as fast as they understand what they’re doing, to begin with the end in mind, and above all, do NOT JUST SIGN UP FOR A CREDIT CARD BECAUSE SOME GUY ON THE INTERNET SAID IT WAS A GOOD IDEA!!!

There are often what are considered “public” offers, which are displayed on the bank’s main website, or through affiliate channels such as creditcards.com, and then sometimes there are “hidden” offers that are harder to find.

Here are a couple of increased offers that I have seen recently.  Most of these have been covered other places over the past week or two, but in case you haven’t seen all of them, here you are!

1. Bank of America Alaska Airlines 30K + $100 Statement credit (public link) – this has been one of my favorite cards for awhile since it is eminently churnable.  They recently raised the offer from 25K points to 30K points but without the $100 statement credit.  Personally I value the $100 much more than an additional 5K points, so I’m glad to see that now there is an application link for 30K AND $100 statement credit (H/T Miles to Memories)
2. Some people have reported being targeted for a 70K Chase United Explorer card, plus 5K for adding an authorize duser.  I only had 30K personally.  If you’ve recently signed up for this card, you should be able to send a secure message to Chase to be matched. (H/T Milenerd).  There is also a publicly available offer for 50K + 5K for authorized user
3. The offer for the American Express Delta cards is up to 50K for the Gold card and 60K for the Platinum card (public link)
4. It’s a ways away from the churnable 100K days of last summer, but the Citi Executive card signup bonus is up to 60,000 miles (from 50,000 miles – this is an affiliate link)
5. The Chase Marriott Business card offer is now up to 100,000 Marriott points after spending $5000 in the first 3 months (annual fee not waived the first year)
