What you need to know about Amex offers
Amex Offers are unpredictable. There’s really no way to know how a cardholder ends up getting a targeted Amex offer. It is also common for a cardholder to have the same offer across his/her portfolio of Amex cards. You’d be surprised to see the same set of merchants over and over again, and don’t be alarmed if the offer comes in a form of credit or Amex Membership Rewards. What do I prefer? I prefer getting offers that give additional Membership Rewards. I can combine that with my existing MR earnings that will allow me to book future vacations using points. But if the best offer comes in a form of a credit, I will go for it if it’s something I know I can use.

Back to our Amex offers for Valentines Day. Here are various offers that could be used towards a Valentine’s Day getaway. Just keep in mind that hotel rates tend to be more expensive around this holiday. The cool thing about these offers, you don’t necessarily have to book them for a stay on Valentine’s Day itself. As an idea, you can surprise your special someone with a vacation getaway, or even a staycation using one of these hotels. This will allow the couple to celebrate Valentine’s Day on the 14th, and it gives you something to look forward to – booking future upcoming vacation.
