Last month, we announced that Chase had plans to change the lineup of their business card. The Chase Ink Plus card was going away in favor of a new Chase Ink Preferred application process. According to rumors, yesterday (Monday November 14th) was the day that the Chase Ink Plus was going away, and that has appeared to be the case, as the Chase Ink Plus is gone from Chase’s website, and the Chase Ink Preferred application is now up and live

Chase Ink Preferred application details
The Chase Ink Business Preferred card gives a 3x bonus on
- Travel
- Shipping purchases
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines
and 1x on every other purchase. Note that it does NOT get 5x on purchases at office supply stores like the Chase Ink Business Plus card does.
The Chase Ink Preferred application and signup bonus is 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards after spending $5000 in the first 3 months. The annual fee of $95 is NOT waived the first year.
Early data points seem to indicate that the Chase Ink Business Preferred application IS subject to the Chase 5/24 rule, so if you’ve had more than 5 applications in the past 24 months, you may not be approved.
I currently don’t see a link for the Chase Ink Plus (the old premium business card with the 5x on office supply stores, but I do have an affiliate link for the Chase Ink Cash card, which does still offer 5x on office supply stores.
Have you filled out a Chase Ink Preferred application? Or are you keeping your Chase Ink Plus card (or both?!)
