3 record high credit card offers ending this week

There are 3 credit card offers that are at all-time highs and the signup bonuses are reportedly ending this week.  I have no inside information as to whether they will REALLY end this week (since sometimes you can still find links out there even after the offers are officially “over”).  Still, if you had been thinking about signing up for any of these cards, now is the time.  Disclosure: if you sign up for these or any other cards through the links in this post, I will earn a commission.  As far as I know, these are the highest available bonuses for these cards (and in fact, the highest bonuses ever offered for each of these cards, as far as I am aware)

As always, if you’re new to this travel hacking game, start slow, only go as fast as you understand, and by all means, do not just sign up for credit cards because some guy on the Internet talked about them!

Here are the 3 offers I know of that are ending this week

SPG Amex personal card – 35,000 SPG points

The Starwood Amex personal card is offering 35,000 SPG points if you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months on the personal card. The annual fee is $95 and is waived the first year.  Here’s the details on the personal card

The SPG Amex card does come with free Boingo wi-fi, which is one of my top 2 travel apps, and also is eligible for Amex Offers, which may even be enough to help offset the annual fee in the years to come.

SPG Amex business card – 35,000 SPG points

The SPG Amex business card is also offering 35,000 points and has a $95 annual fee (waived the first year), though to get this signup bonus you do have to spend $5,000 in the first 3 months.

The business card also offers the free Boingo Wifi, and also allows you free access to Sheraton lounges worldwide.  If you’re not sure if you have a business or not (to apply for the SPG business card, you might check out Business credit cards even if you don’t (really) have a business.  Both the SPG Amex personal and business card offers for 35000 points expire on March 30th

Citi Hilton 75000 point offer

The 3rd record hotel offer is for the Citibank Hilton HHonors card.  This normally has a 40,000 point signup bonus, but is currently up to 75,000 points.

From what I’ve read, this offer is set to expire on April 1st, though again, last time this offer was available, it did stick around a few days past the offer date.  This card has no annual fee and the signup bonus requires you to spend $2,000 in the first 3 months.

Eligibility for these offers

According to the current rules and best practices for churning, you can only get one signup per American Express card EVER.  So if you’ve ever gotten a signup bonus for either the personal or business card in the past, you will not be eligible for either of these offers, though if you applied fairly recently, you may be able to call in to get bonus Starpoints – I got 10,000 points after only 2 phone calls!

On the Citi Hilton card, you’re eligible for the signup bonus if you haven’t opened or closed the card in the past 18 months.

As I mentioned, if you’re applying for these cards and use my links, I do receive a commission.
